The origins of Le Petit Voyage trace back to a journey that was never taken—a trip to India planned before Andreas and I even met. Scheduled for March 2020 from Egypt, the world’s pause on travel due to the enforced lockdowns, redirected my path back to Switzerland. However, my connection with the tour operator in India, Mr. Nandini Singh, remained intact, promising an open invitation to explore India when possible.
A year later, the lockdowns had left us restless in our respective homes in Norway and Switzerland. In need of reclaiming a sense of freedom, our shared desire to explore led us to the Dominican Republic – one of the few attractive destinations still available to tourists at the time – where fate intertwined our paths. It was the universe’s poetic way of bringing us together through our mutual love for travel, and the urge for freedom.
Eventually, I journeyed to India. Not by myself, as planned, but accompanied by Andreas and our twin girl and boy (5 months old at the time).
This trip not only fulfilled my postponed adventure but also cemented our relationship with Mr. Singh, a tour operator of royal descent known for his exquisite travel arrangements. During our conversations, the first vision of our partnership presented itself, driven by a shared vision to present the authentic beauty of India to the world’s travelers.
Today, as a family of four and in collaboration with Mr. Singh, we operate Le Petit Voyage. Our mission is clear: to serve as a bridge connecting travelers to the real India—its culture, landscapes, and hidden gems. We strive to offer a service that not only facilitates discovery but also enriches the travel experience, ensuring that each journey with us becomes a grand adventure.
